Oliver Ross -- that's a good one -- with all the crap players that Jerry made his puppet coaches keep around to show what a good drafter he was, why did he make an example out of Ross? That guy actually turned out good.

We had him in training camp in 1999 as a blocking tight end.

Why bother including guys who never even played a regular season game ?

Do you really consider them Cowboys ?

Hopefully sometime down the road someone in Chicago will put up a similar post and say "man, we had Columbo?".

So if all these guys banded together, could they make the playoffs?

What's sad is there's only a few names on that list that you would like to have on the team right now (maybe headed by Wilkins).

Exactly what I was thinking. There are a couple there that we can say, "Man why did we let him get away" but really not a lot of them on that list that I will lose any sleep over not being here. Some turned out better than we expected and others we just didn't have room for them becuase we had better players ahead of them. And most of them are either scrubs playing backup or guys that are not as good as those we replaced them with.

But it took Ross FOREVER to become a player. He was pushing 30 before he finally "got it". I think he was even out of football for a bit with stops in Philly before he found success in Pitt.

Am I the only one who really could care less about a player once he leaves Dallas? Not to say that this thread isn't interesting, it is, but I don't exactly watch other teams looking for ex-Cowboys and cheering for them.
