guys please help to know who are fullbacks going to be, know hes got to be able to run, block, and catch.

also who is going to be our free saftey, cant get one in the draft, need one that is experienced, not a rookie.

and our other need being kicker, brown or orande would be great.

while im writing let me add that during the draft just like to say that i think we need to draft young wide reciever{chad jackson big, tall, and fast} or get a stud outside linebacker.

anyway just pumped about the upcoming year read this forum constantly, love it.

Parcells really likes Lousaka Polite because of his intelligence. He's one of the most intelligent football players on the team. With that said, I don't know how he grades Polite as an actual player on the field, understanding of the plays notwithstanding.

Times like now I wish we still had Richie Anderson.

Couldn't block worth much, but he was a threat out of the backfield.

If only we could have convinced Hambrick to play FB....he was a pretty good blocker.

Of course, if Lousaka is the most intelligent player, then Hambrick would be the Anti-Lousaka.:laugh2:

His Trustiness is with the Denver Broncos, I'll have you know.

There's no way Robinson and Owens could have coexisted in the same locker room. :)

Yea lousaka is our FB for next year, people like sowell but iono bout BP AND JJ they gotta decide on that one. but who cares we are gonna run the spread offense i dont care what they say!

as for FS Coleman looks to be the best option and is probably going to be the Veteran depth we add plus a draft pick on day 1

and kicker will be Josh Brown if we havent yet made a deal with mare through our rosenhaus seeing that we talked to him bout other guys . . .

and for long snapper - we have TO, he wants the ball doesnt he? and this is a perfect position to be assured touching the ball! :laugh2:

If Marcus Coleman is really the Cowboys guy for a free agent FS, I wonder why he wasn't signed in time for the beginning of offseaon workouts. Are the Cowboys putting him on the back burner until after the draft, or has Parcells ordered Coleman to get some help for his drinking problem if he wants a gig.

Speaking of Anderson I loved that option play we ran with Ritchie pitching the ball. I wonder if Polite could run that play?

I know this may sound crazy, but I would like to see some 2 RB sets with Julius and MBIII on the field at the same time. Barber isn't the biggest guy but he blocks very well.

This formation would give the defense major headaches. Gives Bledsoe five 'real' threats to throw to and at least two dump downs with Jones and Barber.

I guess I am saying to keep Polite, but let Barber play some FB. Maybe give him half the work load at FB. Gets him on the field and you always want your best players on the field. As a matter of fact I could very well see Coach Parcells using Barber just like he used Richie Anderson a couple of years ago. The kid has been in the system for a year now so he should feel comfortable enough to pull this off.

    What do you guys think?

    :hammer:

    We have a winner!

Exactly what I've been thinking. MBIII is a faster , younger Ritchie Anderson.

The only Way we would ever give BarberIII 1/2 time at fullback is if we dont give any to Hannam and Witten and run a Split Back formation as our main set.

Our best bet to keep the inexperienced Polite off the field is running spread sets, double TE sets, Hannam filling in on some plays and like you said toss in Barber but only if we run a split back set and use him as a recieving threat.

polite will probably take 50% =< of the snaps as they will be redistributed with sets excluding a FB and Hannam. FB shouldnt be a big worry as we have many ways of getting around playing youth. but remember how much BP likes Polite as he describes him as, "quick to learn, 1 of the smartest on the team, and of course young." so dont doubt him to much.

FS - Coleman + Draft Pick we are fine!

i dont know anything bout the long snapper position :( BUT TO DOES! like ive been saying for a while now. and i think i might just be repeating what i said in a previous post here.

The latter is my guess. I think we bank on Coleman being available even after the draft at this point. If he's clean and dry, and we don't have a better player on the roster from our day one picks, he's a good insurance policy.

Our FO is also clearly not as down on Davis as some on this board are. I don't want to bet on it, but I can see him really improving in a starting role next year. Especially with some help at OLB.
