RUTGERS Safety Joe Lefeged limited his workout to positional drills only after a strong NFL Combine showing solidified his standing as a legitimate prospect, but fellow DB Brandon Bing, a former track star turned CB, may have put himself on the draft radar when he ran a 4.33 40 and posted a 38.5" VL. DE Jonathan Freeny, who also worked out at LB, posted some reasonably athletic numbers with a 40 time in the 4.7 range and a 37.5" VL. WISCONSIN An estimated 90 NFL personnel people were in Maison for the Badgers' pro day. DE J.J. Watt followed up on his strong performance at the combine as he showed good atheticism for a 290-pounder in positional drills. RB John Clay reportedly was able to drop his 40 time from a very slow 4.87 at the combine to a just slow 4.72 at the Wisconsin pro day. On the other hand, WR/KR David Gilreath (5-9, 170) was very quick, running the 40 in just over 4.4 seconds, while fellow WR Isaac Anderson (5-9, 175) was timed in the 4.45-4.50 range. Anderson also had a 36" VL, as well as good times in the shuttles.
