Goose: The game is all about the QB. One true franchise QB is left and I think he wins it all. Ben Roethlisberger. Hasselbeck is in Phil Simms mode. He is a SB caliber QB in that he doesn't make mistakes. Not flashy, just solid. Plummer is a result of one of the great coaching jobs in years. 20 int's to 7. But the Broncos don't go for the big play alot anymore. He can be rattled with heavy pressure. Delhomme didn't have a great year, but he knows how to turn it on when it counts. Neither NFC team wins the SB this year. I think it will be Pittsburgh over Seattle. The Steelers are the best 6th seed ever. They lost 4 games while Ben was out and 2 of those were in OT. It wouldn't surprise me if Carolina does pull off the upset. These two games give the best homefield advantage possible in the NFL. There is a new breed of owner in the NFL. They want a CEO type of coach. They don't want the retread old guard anymore. Mike Sherman is the best candidate in the whole field and he can't get hired. 5 straight playoff appearances and he gets fired for 1 losing season. The good college coaches don't want to leave the great programs. They have more security and get paid as well in their college jobs. Several of the teams this year are using head-hunters to find their coaching prospects. Those organizations that know football are doing it themselves.
