    they will not hire Ryan, but if they do I feel sorry for their defense

    I'd say they wanted Grantham and might have to settle for Ryan. I'd still go after Romeo Crennel first, but he doesn't seem to be in the conversation.

    I don't feel that Ryan would do a bad job with their defense, just the average job he's done anywhere else.

    Mike Singletary getting an interview for the position. Was a bad HC but surely had alot to do with the resurgency of the Whiners. He doesn't get nearly enough credit for the toughness and attitude of SF. Would he be a good DC?

    Rob Ryan is the new DC in NO & while he wasn't my first choice I doubt he could do much worse than what the Saints did last season on D. Nobody is expecting him to do major improvements in year 1, just better than last season
