Who would you rather have?
Feels like the Witten/Gates argument to me.
Gronkowski seems like the more well-rounded TE, so I would take him. That's just me though.
I want a TE that can block well. To me that is Gronk.
Gronkowski for sure.
I like Graham but I think he's cut more out of the mold of Antonio Gates' mold of primarily being a pass-catching TE.
I think Gronk is more of a complete TE the way Jason Witten is.
Does Graham not block?
It depends on what you want your offense to do. If you're more of a passing offense, maybe you go with Graham because he's 6'8 compared to Gronk who is 6'6. Those are some big targets. Both are fast too.
I just dont know how good a blocker Graham is.
I'll take Gronk. I think he's the better all around, much like Witten.
Rob Gronkowski. He's a much better blocker than Graham and equally as explosive of a reciever.
Graham isn't really strong at the point of attack, but the Saints don't really utilize him in that manner anyways. BTW, both Graham and Gronkowksi are 6'6".
Itsreally tough to say. Their receiving numbers are really too similar and like I pay attention to or see either enough to say much about their blocking. So I have no comment
you pick one and I'll take the other. Both have a very bright future.
Graham is a WR masquerading as a TE.
That describes pretty much every tight end nowadays.
Gronkowski. He's the best young TE in the league. Hands down.
Hands down? Cmon Jermichael Finley is every bit as good as Gronkowski.
It certainly doesn't describe Witten.
Graham is lanky and, I would assume, weak at the point of attack (i.e. blocking something other than a CB).
I say "assume" because I tried watching him on several occasions last night to see if he was a "complete package"...but I never saw him blocking. In fact, I rarely saw him line up next to a tackle. He motioned out wide more often than not.
...he was essentially a wide receiver.
I've seen Gronk block....and while I don't think he's as complete a player as Witten, he is definitely a serviceable blocker. Of the young TE's, I take Gronkowski or Finley without a doubt.
Last night, they said he was 6'8. So did the U's press guide. Then again, university press guides are notorious for overestimating players' height.
Gronkowski or Gresham?????
