"What stinks is taking one bad draft "

one bad draft? Cowboys haven't had one good draft in many years. 2008 and 2009 were beyond pathetic. The rest are around average to a little above or a little below. Not a coincidence that leads to an 8-8 team. You didn't mention anything about the pathetic results in free agency, trades or managing the cap?

Throw in Carroll as coach. There you have a well built team.

As for they have to win the Superbowl, well they made the playoff did they? We didn't. Our playoff record is putrid to say the least. Therefore, I have to agree with the OP on this one.

5 of these players have actually proven themselves. You can pick a lot of good talent or potentially good talent but it's how you put them in position to make plays on the field is the whole other feat that so far has not been accomplished.

It is a really good rebuilding job but has a ways to go to match what Jimmy Johnson did. In fact I was thinking last night when they mentioned the hundreds of moves they made in one year that it was a lot like when Jimmy Johnson came here.

If you bother to go back and check a lot of the scouting publications you will find that a lot of those picks make sense. It is only in hindsight they are bad.

Carpenter was considered the logical pick at the time. Rogers is the only one BP insisted on that our scouts did not like, as regards first or second round.

Steven jackson was not widely considered to be a super back; Kevin Jones and Julius were considered by many to be about as good.
