At another message board I was involved in a fantasy draft of all time players. It was just something to pass the time during the offseason. You know, talk about old players and debate and stuff.

I would like it if you folks could take a look at these two teams and tell me which one would win this matchup if these teams played against each other with all of these players at their peaks.

We are playing under current NFL rules.

You should base the matchups of how dominant the players were in their day. In other words, don't look at it and say, "Well, this guy played in the 1950s. He would probably be mediocre today."

If Player A was dominant in the 1950s and Player B just "pretty good" in the 1990s, then Player A has to be considered the better player.

    So, on to the game.

Just kindly respond with which team you think would win and if you want to provide an explanation that would be great.

Team A on left, Team B on right

    QB- Joe Montana.......................Roger Staubach
    RB- Marcus Allen........................Marshall Faulk
    RB- Marion Motley......................John Henry Johnson

    RG- George Musso.......................Larry Little
    RT- Rayfield Wright......................Bob Brown

    K- Lou Groza...............................Jan Stenerud
    P- Matt Turk...............................Reggie Roby

    DE- Gerry Philbin..........................Tombstone Jackson
    DT- Joe Greene............................Bob Lilly
    DT- Warren Sapp.........................Buck Buchanan
    DE- Chris Doleman........................Charles Haley
    OLB- Junior Seau..........................Bobby Bell
    MLB- Willie Lanier..........................Dick Butkus
    OLB- Robert Brazile.......................Jack Ham

This thing didn't consist of just two teams. There are ten teams total.

And even so, there are about 10 backs better than Smith.

I disagree unless you are talking about Payton or Jim Brown.

I don't really know alot about these players, but I'd say Team B.

Staubach and Rice would make for a good offense.

Lilly and Haley would make for a good defense.

And with that you've lost your privilege to ever say Michael Irvin was better than Art Monk. (Monk had more yards.)
