Talent wise, he'd be a great pickup if he fell to 9th.
They do have decent DTs though
Heard from a source I really like him too.
That's probably not far from the truth....Will update today as I hear info though. Today is usually the hottest day for rumors....Don't ask me why.
That would be surprising....but you know he didn't really rock the combine like I thought he would. I have a hard time seeing him get passed KC if he is still on the board. He steps in for Jamal Charles...and they don't miss a beat.
Was it the liquor store clerk? lol
His associates allegedly bother some teams from what the rumor mill says.
That's why Cleveland continues to draft top 5 every year
Speaking of which, normally by now we have several posters with inside sources at the Star giving us "what they are hearing". Where are those people this year?
That tapered off 3 or 4 years ago.
I guess my point earlier to stash was that they have an entirely different group of people drafting now than they did before last year.
Just because they now reside in Cleveland during the season doesn't mean they forgot everything they learned the last 30 years before then.
Or does it...maybe it's in the water...lol
I think they encountered too much resistance
Me personally, I like rumors real or fake. Adds to the intrigue
Those sources were only at Valley Ranch. They didn't make the move.
For what it is worth from Tony Pauline. He states he has top 32 from two teams.
1 - I was surprised both teams graded Taco Charlton as a first-round selection.
2 - Neither team grades Deshaun Watson as a top-32 material. Watson has always been a second-round prospect on our board. It doesn’t mean he won’t be selected in the first round.
3 - Reuben Foster has dropped dramatically. The news of his failed/diluted drug test from yesterday was the icing on the cake. One team was ready to take him in the middle of Round 1 but has backed off. I’m told it’s a combination of what’s described as “horrible behavior” as well as concussion issues.
4 - Neither team feels Foster’s teammate, cornerback Marlon Humphrey, grades as one of the top 32 players in the draft. We reported earlier this week that more and more teams are comparing Humphrey to Dee Milliner as a straight-line cornerback.
5 - When asked about UConn defensive back Obi Melifonwu being a potential top-32 prospect, the response from both teams was unanimous -- no way.
Welp that will piss some people off. Didnt they spend some time with Brad Kaaya during the process?
This sounds like a pretty unproveable claim, especially if Ross still goes in the 1st round.
I mean, I could claim that most teams in the league wouldn't touch Myles Garrett if they were picking at #1 overall.
Prove that wrong.
Carries the same weight.
I personally wouldnt touch him there. The guy is rail thin and has been an injury magnet at UW. Once he loses a step it is all over.
This would also piss a lot of people off.
wouldn't depend on where he was taken?
I don't see how you could pass on him in the third.
