the planned Sting v. Hogan match cancelled at BFG.

He'll probably return, but his and Bischoffs contract is up in a few months, so who knows.

He probably cannot get medically cleared because of his back...he will have to stick with wrestling somehow though. What else can he do? One of the worse wrestlers ever but he has a ton of charisma and fans love him. I don't but that is just me.

The greatest of all time. He basically gave careers to everyone who followed him.

    That guy was still wrestling?

I used to watch him back in the 80s.

He has to be ancient by now. Kudos to him for keeping it going for so long.

You still can't see the work, can you kid? Even though the sidebar with Sting made it real obvious?

I liked the Hogan persona in his first tour of the WWF... Major heel, feuding with Andre The Giant and leaving the company for the AWA before he got a big-time push for Backlund's title.

He shows up on the Phil Donahue show as a face and it was downhill from there for me.

Yeah right. Anyone that has followed wrestling knows this ****** refused to put anyone over in the late 80's and early 90's. Not to mention he had 3 moves. And one of them was a back scratcher. :lmao2:

Is Sting really painting his face like the Joker?

    Wow.

Stealing from one movie is one thing, and he make it work, but stealing from another movie some 10 years later is downright embarrassing.

Oh dude, this isn't even the half of it. They had him cackling as he was beaten up in the locker room like Ledger in the cell.

How is stealing from one movie any better than stealing from another movie?

    Glad I didn't see it.

He's been one of my favorite wrestlers since forever.

I just watched a clip from earlier this week and it's saddening that the people in charge would even try to pull that off.

I remember seeing a video a while back where Sting said he didn't go to the WWE because (paraphrasing) he had worked too hard to get to the top and he would have to start from the bottom in WWE.

What a career mistake that was. I'm sure he's making good money but is it really worth it to be what amounts to a B List actor on the Lifetime channel?

He had molded the perfect character in WCW and he's basically just pissing on it right now.

    Unreal.

    They're equally cheesy.

But he made it work the first time because there was actually some sort of story behind it and the transition took place over a decent amount of time.

There are no circumstances that I can see a story working in this situation.

He struck gold by adopting the Crow theme, this one just stinks all around.

I realize you're probably too young to know what you're talking about here.

Nobody cared about professional wrestling until Hogan put it on the map.

Hogan made wrestling big on TV..great gimmick...larger than life personality but I doubt there is a wrestler alive that believes he was a good in ring wrestler. He was awful.

That's not true. Pro Wrestling was popular long before Hulk Hogan was ever though of. It was just regional.

I said he was most likely returning. Bischoffs and H2s contract is up in Jan. Maybe writing him off tv.

It drew more before Hogan. NY's WWWF sold old MSG 12 times a yr. Vince wishes that could be done now. It was regional back then, NY, TX, etc
