Are you sure you don't want to take him at 18?
If the DL and OL are gone, then yes. We need a safety.
Yes. Safety is a HUGE need in the Tampa 2 defense and considering our current starting safeties are Barry Church and Matt Johnson, then yes Vaccaro would be a good pick.
The key for him will be pass coverage and nothing in those clips showed that.
who is gone and who is available
i would take sylvester williams over him easy
I'm taking him IF he's the best talent available and stick to the board.
He's not at the top of my want list though.
Williams would still be on the board.
Still would wait for Thomas or Rambo in 2nd/3rd, feel like Reid and Vaccaro are both just average in coverage
If Williams is there, then no and get a safety in the 2nd.
Yes, pick Vaccaro! The offseason banter would be epic!
100% sure I don't want that sack of poop.
Give me Austin or a DE over that waste of space.
I'd take Vaccaro if Cooper and Richardson are gone. And of course baring any colossal slides.
Sly>Vacarro in my opinion. I don't think Vacarro is a great fit for the tampa 2.
How would you rate Vaccaro over other recent safety prospects such as Patrick Chung and Kenny Philipps who went toward the end of the first?
Bold prediction: if Vacarro is the pick Jerry Jones will invoke the name Darren Woodson at least half a dozen times.
I'd rate him better than them, but worse than Thomas.
I'm also on board with Vaccaro.
If you take a safety, you grab Elam. Why worry about rank? I would worry about who the best safety for your team would be. That's going to be Elam.
Why is that? I don't think Elam has shown more promise in coverage than Vaccaro at all...
Elam hasn't been asked to cover a whole lot, but that was the nature of the Florida defense. However, if you look at the times he did cover, he covered well enough. He's underrated in terms of coverage. He just hasn't been asked to cover a lot. Word has it that Baltimore is interested in Elam.
The same thing is said for Vaccaro. Scheme didn't really let him play a lot of true safety.
I'm aware. I'm just going with what my eyes tell me. I see a very enthusiastic, nasty player with Elam. He plays with swagger and grit. I like guys who are contagious and like to hit a la Darren Woodson. Vaccaro just bores me.
