The Wes Welker "look-a-like".
The media is so simple.
Sorry, but I saw him against the Jets and Texans, and he looked great.
He's no Welker, but he's a damn good impersonator.
He may be, Im just tired of the comparisions b/c hes white.
Watch Jordan Shipley and Eric Decker be "Wes Welkers" next year.
Decker doesnt have the lateral quickness to be a Welker impersonator. Shipley is though..
rofl...not really. He plays the same position he plays, in the slot and runs the same after he has the ball in his hands.
The tea in china is now at .035
Same way people say Phillips reminds them of Witten. Or they compare any black qb to another black qb. That's how America works buddy.
Fixed it for you.
You didn't fix anything. Have you ever lived outside of the US?
Funny you should ask. Yes, indeed I have. Your point?
Then you should know that you didn't fix anything. That's all. Race doesn't matter in many parts of the world. It matters in every state, city and town in America. It would be comical for you to dispute that.
Really? I haven't heard anyone say Phillips reminds them of Witten. Where have I been? Personally, I don't see it. I think Phillips looks good, but not like Witten.
There were a few people saying it during last weeks game. I'm not complaining about it at all. I just find it funny how people try to act like things don't exist. Kinda like how people say racism doesn't exist anymore because of the president we have, but I digress.
Really? I'm curious as to how you'd know that about many parts of the world. Have you lived in a ton of places to know this as personal fact or are you just saying it to be saying it?
I ask because I'm geniunely interested in where you've been and what you say, and experienced, that lead you to this conclusion.
I'm not disputing the fact that race plays a part in the United States. However, all the countries I've been in have racial prejudice. It's not necessarily Black against White, but latino against black or latino against asian. Asian against Black. Persian against Black, black against latino, etc, etc etc.
So I certainly will dispute that. The US has it's issues, but it has a bigger handle on race relations than many other countries in the world.
It may be "simple" to think that they say that only because he is white.
When the two play, they sure do look similar...regardless of color.
"Put an 83 on him amd you couldnt tell the difference"
:shush: Not even remotely true. I've been just about everywhere (in general) and I can confidently say we have not reached that utopia you describe anywhere. I've seen it much, much worse than in the USA...and, yes, in some cases slightly better...but never non-exisitent. But we are getting off-topic here.
Yeah, yeah...I hear ya. Welker is one of a kind for sure. Jacksonville says they double teamed him a lot a couple of weeks ago and he still caught ALL 14 balls throw his way....amazing.
But their games and styles are very similar.
lol Anyone hear Herbstreit?
I believe I had this pegged.
Welker had like 4 TD's this year, Shipley had like 20. Shipley actually runs past 10 yards
