I don't hunt myself. Never really got into it. Been duck hunting a time or two and went elk hunting once but didn't get anything. Just too much sitting around for me but I can appreciate the skill needed to pull a shot like this off.

You can actually see the bullet and the trajectory on that thing.

    Pretty impressive, IMO.

The bullet arrives as soon as the sound does.

Must have sucked to pack that thing out. Author said they ate the thing but I'm betting that was a hell of a hike.

Thanks for posting! That's the first vapor trail I've ever actually witnessed.

    About a 9.7 on the cool-o-meter.

EDIT, the bullet arrived well ahead of the sound. The goat flopping down after being shot is what scared the herd.

    That was an amazing shot...

My Browning BAR .300 win mag with 4-16 Leupold scope could reach out and touch that far, but it takes great skill to make that shot...

If they could shoot back it would be a sport.

zoom out was cool, but seeing that goat squirming afterwards was slightly gut wrenching.

You ought to see a full-grown steer twitch and jump once you put the .22 round into the front of the skull. Some aren't so cooperative to lay nice and still until they get wrapped as steak.

Black powder or bow hunting is much more of a challenge.

No, it wouldn't be fair at all. Outfit the Goats with Guns and pretty soon, you would see PETA and all sorts of Gun Control Activist Groups out there holding signs and throwing pig blood on all the Goats. No, nothing fair about that.

The goats should have posted a lookout. ;-)
