Pretty thorough breakdown of Anthony Hitchens on this Iowa blog for those of us who don't know much about him, which I would assume is most of the forum.

Dude is a special teamer. Shades of 2009.

His own agent said he thought he wouldn't be selected until the sixth round.

Whether it's McClay or Jones, someone needs to yank the phone from him.

He is definitely targeted for ST's which is no problem but as all are saying, 7th round could be around.

Have you even watched his game footage?

There is no reason that he is a backup only.

He plays fast with good awareness and toughness. He was the Big 10 leader in tackles in his 1st season starting. He has a high number of tackles for loss.

I reviewed all of his snaps against Nebraska. He looks good to me.

He looks like a good player. The obvious question is would he have been available later?

He said his agent wanted to be conservative to keep him from possibly being disappointed.

I don't think people havea problem with the player as much as the round

McClay is running the draft in middle rounds this year. This is his coming out party so to speak.

Maybe he should have stayed in.

Leading the big 10 in tackles is something to be happy about. I consider the Big 10 one of the more physical and "brutish" conferences so he must be a physical player.

Either that, or he got all the tackles because the rest of his teamates sucked :p

I think his agent was actually being optimistic. 90% of the writeups on this guy said he wasn't draftable. Many guides didn't list him.

But hey... go with what you think his agent meant if it makes you feel better about the pick.

You mean the same ones like Jerry and Stephen? Now they have a director or draft and he seems to fit right in.

A good agent should have the player prepared for the worst case scenario.
