A bit melodramatic. You conveniently forget Roger lost a SB and muffed some games. One to the Rams to derail perhaps the greatest team of that decade. And Dallas had a great TEAM for about 15 years not just a great QB.

    But rant on.

He may be the only QB in NFL history to put up very high QBRs and the team still lose.

Every QB misses wide open receivers multiple times a game for various reasons. Sometimes Romo seems to get locked into his favorite target but they all have their favorites. I will admit Romo does that too much for my liking. I see that ability and I've heard multiple commentators comment on his ability to see the field even when scrambling which is not something many can do with such success. So I'd say you're on the wrong end of this argument. I will admit he's not the greatest QB I've ever seen but he's in the top 50 somewhere TBD.

He's always carried the team and he's not showing any more leadership than he has the last few years.

I think you finally took your hater goggles off and see him for what he has been all along.

Or, how about the fans that talk crap about anything and everything Cowboys and then come up with this gem.
"But, I hope they prove me wrong."

    Talk about being two faced.

Nothing unusual from the haters from Ufcrules to Dolly to Clove to who ever. Their irrational and borderline insane hatred for the one player that frankly is the BIGGEST REASON we are relevent at all each season just shows how hatred clouds any small amount of intelligence one might have.

I think the biggest stat of all is the one that shows rating vs win/loss. NO OTHER QB IN THE NFL has such a low w/l ratio as Romo does when he is playing well. To anyone but a moronic hater that is the best evidence of all that he has never really had a complete team around him for any extended period of time. Unlike Manning and Brady and Brees and whoever. They have all had good to excellent teams AND COACHES around them for virtually their entire careers. And guess what guys? EVEN THEY do not make the SB and win it every year. Brady has not been on the winning side of a SB since 2004. Manning has 1 ring (leave Doofus out of this discussion); Brees has 1 ring. Rodgers has 1 ring. Think on that: those are the best QBs of this generation but in the last 9 years they have a total of 3 rings. Only an idiot would not understand that it takes a TEAM TO WIN A SB. No QB can take a team on his back and carry them; that is idiotic and stupid.

ufcrules knows that no matter how much hatred he spews about Romo, Clove can never beat him out as the #1 Romo hater on this board; so he can afford to be generous.

Ah yes, the battlecry of the "true fan" - Incapable of seeing both sides. You're either good or you're bad, that's it.

You don't see both sides! You look at Romo and not the defense. You know, both sides? smh

Romo is the last thing wrong in dallas.

    Wrong:
    Defensive scheme
    Offensive scheme
O line needs work on guards
Need a whole new d line / keep selvie for a starter/backup if we cant find a really good replacement. Keep ware if he takes a huge pay cut but still not sure if hes a starter anymore. Hatcher will be gone next year.
Need new safeties or better safety play church is good vs run but not pass. Church i think will improve so he will be the starter next year and Wilcox doesn't look very good
Need new linebackers or better play right now lee is the only real good one we have but is Injury prone. Lee is the only true starter.

It's really very simple guys. Romo is our best player by far.

If he plays very well, we have a chance. Doesn't mean we win every game (see Denver), but we have a chance. Luckily, he plays well most of the time.

We he does play poorly, we are done for. The team around him cannot make up for Romo's poor play (see week 17 last year), especially the defense. He can pick up the defense on occasion when they are bad, but they don't pick him up when he is bad. Again luckily, it doesn't happen often, but it does happen. He's not a robot.

There are exceptionally rare occasions, like the first Phiily game, where this formula doesn't quite work, since there are human beings on the field. But in general, what I have above is what we have seen since Romo became the starter and what we will see going forward.

I'm curious how ufc and Clove would react if the Cowboys won a championship with Romo at QB.

"What a great victory! Romo almost gave it away though!"

"So happy for the team but we really need to look for Romo's replacement!"

"This SB win was nice but I'd like to see some consistency from Romo. Can he lead us back next year?!?"

I kind of agree with some of what you say. I don't agree Romo is our best player by far. He plays the most important role in each game though since he handles the ball on every single snap and because of that he can have the biggest effect on if we win or lose games. Our team(That includes Romo) is just flat out poor all the way around IMO and it starts at the top with the owner. As bad as our team was heading into that Washington game, we STILL could have won it had Romo not choked it away by throwing 3 INT's. Kindly note, he played terrific in the 2 games leading up to that one and protected the ball very well (threw for 757 yards and zero interceptions) but the stakes were just too high for him in Washington, he folded as many of us expected he would and even converted some homers into realists right here on this site. He has to play better in big games like that. He didn't have to completely carry the team in that game, he just had to do a good job, and he didn't.
