This is what Mike Fisher said on the Fan this morning from what the players told him.
you are full of it.
I've watched Connor Shaw quite a bit this season, and I'm very impressed. He'd be good value in the 5th-7th rounds.
You mean his cyst? I don't think that has anything to do with the herniated disc. I wouldn't even count the cyst as an injury.
given the medical laws of confidentiality, I just don't buy it.
Okay. I bow down to your superior intellect...of course there wad OBVIOUSLY disc work...because tony sat out OTA's...okay.
I believe it was Mike Fisher who said the cyst surgery was more complicated because it was close to his spine and they actually had to shave down part of the disc.
Now where he gets his information, who the hell knows.
Romo tells other players who tell fisher. Not that complicated
Don't look now, but that disaster of a season is just about 8 months from starting.
I don't think so. Both played their final game at an elite level before having surgery none of us are really knowledgeable about it. You assume he's done. You have nothing to point to on the field to even remotely support that declaration.
I can only go by what I read from the back specialist the DMN quoted when he got the surgery. Tell the Cowboys fans he should be ready for OTAs. Now the Cowboys will probably hold him out of OTAs as a precaution but physically this done player will be cleared to play.
Romo is done the same way Peyton was done.
I am really concerned about Romo. I have had two different back surgeries on two different disc over the years. I am not near the man I used to be and I work in a lab instead of getting pounded by 300 lbs. men. Some people make 100% recoveries, a lot don't. I am not sure what the statistics are on the subject, I just hope Romo comes out in the good statistics. Of course a few people on here might be happy if he can't play. That is until they relearn how infuriating is trying to find a franchise QB.
Really? Washington was played at a elite level?
Yep, we're all full of it, except you , because, well, you just don't buy it.
Did you see him throw down field much? Did you see him go down if a DL got close to him? Clearly Tony hasn't been Tony for the last 1.5 seasons or so. But hey, he dinks and dunks some great stats though.
Recurrent back pain is a concern but is not automatically dysfunctional or career threatening. Each case is approached differently.
The sciatic pain can be excruciating before and after surgery. I deal with it almost daily. Aleve, the greatest OTC NSAID, is my best friend.
Romo's back healed enough for him to start 15 games and his play was at a franchise QB level.
Injuries are always a concern but Romo was no worse for wear even hurt.
He led a game-winning drive when he could barely stand up straight.
Aikman fell off largely because the talent around him went to pot.
He didnt have franchise caliber help like Dez once Irvin was injured.
The Cowboys never rebounded from that Irvin injury because the entire offense was based on those 2 guys uncanny timing.
Romo had surgery very early and has much more time to rehab and recover then he did last year.

I'm not concerned about Romo yet but if we get to June and he still has lingering problems then it would be cause for concern. Regardless I agree with most here that we should draft a Qb, just not early on unless an outstanding player falls. I dont think the Cowboys are ready to give up in the short term and rebuild the entire team just yet.
Aikman had garbage receivers once Irvin went down which was early 99
Jerry should have a pretty good relationship with Tony's doctors. If the back issue has not been solved for sure then Dallas will need to get Manziel in the 1st. The kid can run so we can forget the need at guard and go Dline in picks 2-7
