"Jason Garrett says the best DL's he has seen have been comprised of waived players." That's convenient for his team ;) The 2007 Giants don't agree (best DL I can remember in recent history) Maybe he is relating it to the Seahawks with Bennett/Avril?

Getting younger just for the sake of getting younger isn't going to win us any more games. We still need more talent.

"Jason Garrett says the interesting thing about Matt Johnson is he has done well with the chances given." We keep hearing things like this from the coaches when the guy does play. It'd be really nice if it pans out in the form of a long, healthy season with him playing well as that 2nd/3rd S.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but to get more talent we have to go 3x13 for two or three years...Prepared for that scenario?

Did that get transcribed correctly or was he referring to waves of players on DL?

Could be...that does make a lot more sense and something I don't think JG would claim being on the dynasty team and coaching while NY had that DL. It was an odd statement.

Why? There is tons of talent outside the top 5 or 6 picks each year. Not to mention FA.

It was definitely a reference to playing players in waves and having sufficient depth. But, in defense of the comment there, he did refer to it as 'waved', so it did sound a lot like 'waived'. The rest of the comments, though, were about the depth of the DL on the 90s team and about limiting DL snap counts.
