Please tell me this is a ploy by Jerry to get someone to trade for him and he's not really going to be on the team...
He's never progressed. The guy has been dinking and dunking since he got here.
If he blows up somewhere else then I am willing to take that risk.
Maybe the Allen Wranglers?
I think McGee makes the team. Should not, but he will.
Yeah, don't believe it.
This is a ploy by Jerry to get someone to trade for him and he's not really going to be on the team.
I wonder if he will say thank you
I think McGee will definitely be on a 53-man roster of some NFL team this year. It most likely won't be the Cowboys. Carpenter looks like he will go to the practice squad and the Cowboys will go with 2 QBs for the beginning of the season at least.
I think the AZ Cardinals would be a likely place. Heck, even Miami. Matt Moore looked like garbage out there last night. How about Jimmy Clausen or McGee, who would you want?
Who do the NYG have as a 3rd string QB? Ryan Perrilloux, never heard of him. Anyone seen him play? I've seen their 2nd string Carr play and am not impressed. The NYG are the team I'd worry most about picking up McGee if only to pick his brain for a possible advantage for two games this year.
51 other GM's round the league: " I wonder who the interested teams are?"
we better not keep him - we need the roster spot
I hate when Jerry opens his mouth
Perilloux was the hearalded next coming of Vince Young, who UT lost to LSU --
but then got kicked off the tigers squad for violation of team rules.
I'd consider packaging McGee with a draft pick to get a center or NT.
Good, trade him to one of those teams then.
Well, yeah, that's the game plan. But, no one is going to trade for him if they think he will be cut and can pick him up for free UNLESS other teams are interested.
So, Jerry is either alerting other teams to make an offer or compete with other teams after he gets cut. Or, Jerry could be bluffing. I doubt Jerry is bluffing. He has been speaking the truth (too much imo) lately.
I thinks it comes down to is there somebody on the team that can be used an emergency QB? Its not too far fetched two could get hurt in one game and what do you do then? or Romo goes out(God forbid) for a strech and who backs up Orton. is there anybdy else on the team that has College QB exsperience?
Then trade him and Felix. I'm sick of other teams getting picks for players and all we ever do is cut them. If a team is actually interested in a player make the trade even if it's for a 7th rd pick. At least its something.
