    My first thought, exactly.

God, JJT is bad at his job. That entire article is just speculation. And not even smart speculation.

Why does Jerry Jones need to explain anything? If he wants to change the franchise, he'll change it. It's his family bidness, so he can do what he wants.

Do you think the owner of the corner deli needs to explain why he changed the sign on the front, or why he fired the counter guy? No, it's his bidness ... so mind yours.

If you don't like the way the franchise is run, then go find another team to root for. The team belongs to the Jones family and they can do as they please. Nothing you can do to change that ... so why bother?

He's the greatest owner in sports history. We're very lucky to have him. Look at the Super Bowl trophies he's brought to us.

    He just wants to win.

It's not that hard to rationalize this:

    • We have LB's on the roster who can play the 4-3.
    • We have DT's on the roster who can play the 4-3.

    • What we don't have is a young NT with Brent now gone to play the 3-4

    • We might lose the OLB who plays the 3-4 but if we could somehow manage to keep him he's your LDE in the 4-3.

    • It's easier to find a DE than a NT.
    • We need to get faster on Defense to defend the new trend of fast QB's

Two guys had the most intertest in Tony Romo: Sean Payton and Mike Shanahan.
So Payton "found" him for the Cowboys.

....obvious but great: all those picks you mentioned could've been spent on Oline or Dline, where they should have. Then again, a "GM" has to know what the heck he's DOING to take interior linemen that high: JJ simply doesn't have a clue what he's doing.

most "journalism" these days *is* speculation far too often taken for fact. or the fun "where there's smoke..." phrase comes in.

if you're so tied up in what is happening that you need day to day updates, the only thing that will do is validate what you've already decided long ago.

now you must shoot down what happened to keep speculation alive and well.
