I can't see Clowney going over Bridgewater with any of these bottom-feeding teams without QB's.
This just in. Anthony Barr can play.
You could not be more correct. QBs sell tickets, simple as that.
lol and true....
To me, it's more about how the addition of Clowney does less to improve the quality of the team than a potential franchise QB would be.
Take a team like Jacksonville: Gabbert is a bust, fan engagement is dismal and they lack a franchise face. Bridgewater makes a lot of sense.
Hundley is my guy (as you can see). Would love to see him with a star on the side of his helmet.
Agreed. That is probably what will happen.
RS I thought u always preached BPA--???
That's why I said it depends on what's there when we pick. People get too hung up on BPA. It's probably not the norm to have one player graded ahead of all the others. You probably have two, three or 4 players with similar grades at the top of your board when you pick. That's when I think need plays a part.
I wasn't saying the Cowboys absolutely have to take a G early in the draft. I just scoffed at the notion that you can cross that position off as a possibility. It's a huge glaring need. We need more than one G added, actually.
Melvin Gordon would look good in a Cowboy uniform when he's eligible.
Bridgewater will go to JAX and for some reason I see Clowney with the G-men if they continue to increase their collar size.
