I credit Harbaugh for being ahead of the curve here. He's designed an offense to exploit the blitz-heavy, man coverage defenses that permeate the NFL these days.

Yup this could be the Era of the Running QB Offense. 10 years ago they tried but it failed because NFL teams tried to turn mobile QBs into pocket passers. But now, they're converting their entire offensive identity to fit with these running QBs.

    The 90s - RB-dominated Era
    The 00s - Passing game, QB-dominated Era
The 10s - Running QB Era

God I hate the 49ers. But their front office looks to have gotten it done. I really do not want them to get no.6.

yes Harbaugh makes the sum of the parts better and he is a leader. Two must haves in the NFL to be a difference maker

Maybe Gosselin can tell us again how smart the Packers are for investing so many picks in quarterbacks they don't use.

    Dumb Capers.

Never understood why anyone wanted this clown to coach in any capacity here.

I have to say, I love the pistol. It makes the game so much more enjoyable to watch.

I agree. It's a fun offense to watch. Maybe some one will figure it out, but for now, it's fun watching defenders chase shadows.

I bet Quincy Carter could have run the read option pretty sweet. ha ha

The Seahawks are looking downright terrifying right now. They not only have a read option quarterback, they have defense designed to stop read option offenses.

We'll find out if their D can stop the pistol. I'm gonna have a good day watching Russell Wilson go in beast mode on the Falcs.

If NFL teams are looking for running Qbs we should draft the best one and trade him to GB for Rodgers :D

    some thoughts on kaepernick
    1. Ridiculous athleticism
    2. Kind of an odd throwing motion. A bit of a slow wind up and low trajectory, but the ball comes out with a lot of velocity and is very accurate.
    3. Made a lot of ballsy throws down the field and didn't get rattled after the early pick 6. Impressive for a young qb.

True that. Got real tired of hearing how Aaron got passed over in the draft, has a chip on his shoulder, and is gong to make everyone pay.

AND he no longer has the greatest career post-season QB rating after last night's game.

Bart Starr is back in 1st place.
