    Usually cough syrup and something mixed in with it. I think 3 6 Mafia and the Houston rap scene in 90's or early 2000's made it become very popular. Also Jamarcus Russell loved it more than football. Oh and I'm 35 too.

    Never understood why someone would want to drink codeine and actually think it was cool. A lot of these rappers have seizures from abusing this stuff but they don't stop. Oh well!!!

    Purple drank is Sprite mixed with codeine. It makes you feel "chill." It's a popular drink amongst rappers and athletes, and it originated in Houston, TX.

    It's also Jamarcus Russell's drink of choice.
