Have you tried to draft in years previous? when I have have a top 10 pick and all signs point to a guy being good, and he turns out to be and 60, it makes the game not fun.

Overall rating is meaningless for young players 1/2 the time. You have to look at specific attributes that are important to that position. An offensive linemen could have a low awareness which drops his overall score way down but he could have a 95 strength, 85 in run and pass blocking. We will be a complete stud in no time.

I picked up a WR in the 7th round who had a 30 awareness but had 99 speed, 98 agility, 90 acceleration and 85 catch in traffic. He was a stud from day one and the best thing about it was I could lock him up long term for really cheap as his ovr rating was in the 70s after his first season.

Don't care how bad anything is, how is it fun to know you are drafting the all rookie team every draft? Just a joke to me :)

Welp I told myself I wouldn't get a new Madden for a while after buying pretty much every yearly version up until the last couple of years but the comments in here and some others I've seen have swayed me. Just downloaded the PS4 digital version.

I only play online ranked games. 15-8 so far *using my ranking from last season*. Strictly as Dallas. They kept your ranking from last year, and matched you with players of equal ratings right away, so you skipped the part where you play a whole bunch of newer players. I was hoping to get some easy wins early on ! Dang.

Speed is the most important part for me on Defense. I have Dixon in as SS, he has 91 speed. I also use Oscan as my FS, his speed allows me to zone the middle of the field well.

I was using Byrd alot on offense instead of Street.... now I am disappointed with the cut list... UGH

You know it is hard to hit the long bombs for me, i generally have to set it up by making him blitz. If i do get a deep pass on them, it generally happens when Dez goes far enough down the field into a zone. I generally try to hit intermediate routes and let Dez or Witten get YAC. We dont have a true speedster really, so it makes it hard to get by the defense.

Thanks for the tips bro...3rd WR (burner) is who I'm looking towards for the draft. I know your talking online (Real gaming) but noticed that as well. Witten/Dez for slants/ins and RAC...

'Madden 15' glitch means Titans have 14-inch tall linebacker

EA Sports' newest Madden NFL game got a lot of things right this year. For instance the designers included Manning-Face. However, there are also a few mistakes in the game. Take for instance Christian Kirksey.

In real life, the Browns rookie linebacker is listed at 6'2", 235-pounds. In Madden 15 though, Kirksey is listed at 1'2", 235-pounds -- and he plays for the Titans. One-foot, two-inches is a big for a Smurf, but it's incredibly small for an NFL defensive player.

I think it also depends on their development rating. I bet Dez has either Superstar or quick for his development, while the other guys could just have normal for their development.

So far I like the franchise mode. In the second year, got a couple studs at RT and LG in the 4th and 5th round and the offensive line is dominant in pass blocking. I've been developing Vaughan, and now he's a 76 overall, and might be good enough to start the 16 season. Heath is an 84 overall, after being a backup the 14-15 season and Wilcox is an 87 overall.

Still can't run worth a damn, opposing linebackers have perfect awareness of the run and usually a lineman will run right past them to block the safety 20 yards up field.
And then it's impossible to stop the run on All-Madden. Seems like the linebackers are too hesitant and by the time they react, the RB is already at full speed blowing past them.

Madden sounds like a good game but I keep hearing about how the CFM is screwed again after playing multiple seasons and a lack of a deep ball is keeping me from purchasing it. Now I remember one of the fixes for the CFM is to play with salary cap off but you will still see star players getting benched for rookies.

Regarding the XP thing, I think it is actually a negative that is ruining a lot of franchises mode today. The reason is that the CPU doesn't use the XP system and as a result, the CPU become easier to beat. A great example is NBA 2k14 for next gen. You can upgrade almost everything that will eventually make your team become unbeatable without superstars.

I guess I'm ok for now with my NCAA 14 on last gen. As long as I have difficult sliders and not using "upgrades" to make the game easier, I can enjoy the game until Madden fixes what people are complaining about.

Last year (or year bf?) they included a "POT" potential rating for draftees and definitely effected the rate of player progression. Is that still included?, or is back to AWR being to go-to trait outside of speed of course.?Just started getting my '16 draft prospects scouted and would be a bummer to pick a low 60's player with no way of building them up, etc.

I hope that isn't the case of patch can be updated by EA if the connected franchise becomes buggy again. Really the only reason I play, suck @ online.

I believe so, just that it's crazy expensive to use on a player. 250/500 credits IIRC. Most of the rookies have their AWR around the D range. Think I only scouted 1 or 2 that had a C grade.

I usually save the game before the draft and will run the draft 1 or two times depending on how it went lol. And I've noticed the CPU doesn't draft based on the Projected round/pick the draftees are rated by. Drafted a RB in the late 2nd round who had a 1st round/11ovr projected pick and he was a 80 overall.

As soon as I went to All-Madden, I scored two deep ball touchdowns against the Seahawks lol.
It's difficult to do, and you need a WR with speed or very good jumping/CIT/SPC, but it's not impossible. Dez wins them when I control him before the catch.
If I notice they are about to press my receiver, I change his route to go deep. If/as soon as he beats the corner I throw it to him.

Thanks for tips regarding rook progression and passing on All Madden. You definitely have tot take control more times than not bc of the DBs/LBs overcompensating after your pass. Esp seams and deep ins/outs where you have to angle your receiver into better position for the catch or to simply avoid the INT. Still throw too many int's but would have been much higher without taking control of the receivers. As to saving before the draft, old trick of mine as well just in case I really blow it.:D

Yea, the computer is just too passive when their is a defender close to your receiver. It's pretty easy to throw a pick in this game. Especially to athletic 50" vertical jumping linebackers lol.

Oh thanks for the reply. That was my fault. I wasn't talking about the deep ball from the user. In fact, I think deep ball in Madden is easy especially if it is man coverage with no safety help. I was talking about the CPU lack of throwing the deep ball against the user. A lot of people are complaining about CPU throwing a lot to flats and drags but intermediate and long throws aren't happening as much as they should.

I guess that is me playing a lot of NCAA 14, because on Heisman difficulty, if you play man across the board, the CPU will make you pay. It sounds like the defense in Madden 15 is too good for the user that CPU has no other chance but to check it down in All Madden.

If they are too much of a liability to play, just develop them in the game prep.
But the best and fastest way is to play them.
