    FYI.

Senate just voted to pass a bailout bill, the "Dodd Amendment," -- a modified version of the bill that failed in the House -- garnering the necessary 60 votes. It now goes to the House, where it's expected to pass from what I'm hearing.

They can't vote on the same thing as the House did. Which bill did they piggyback it onto?

    Let the taxpayer revolution begin.
    Pay only your five essentials.
    1.food
    2.shelter
    3.transportation
    4.clothing
    5.utilities

Default on every credit card you have.
Pay only $1 a month and claim that's all you can do.
Get all your bills, black out the account number and send it to Washington.
Tell them that you now have to be bailed out.
Criminals and irresponsible politicians/citizens have turned the USA into a socialist state.
Tell them is now time to bail the innocent taxpayer.

Time to remind the house reps who do they work for.

The beauty of it is that they have to vote for the exact bill that comes to them, the one the senate just passed. They can not change anything in it from my understanding.

So hopefully they will look at it and realize it is just not up to par and reject.

Here however is my fear. They will pass it knowing it stinks only because there is no other real options of plans right now. They will pass it to be a bandaid on a wound that needs major stitches but will do it anyways because they have no stitches or surgeons right now.

    :eek:: :(

    Agree.
You also have NO idea where a large chunk of your tax dollars go. The crooks in Washington have been stealing our tax dollars for YEARS and we've gotten nothing from it.

Did you guys know that the Federal Income tax violates the 16th amendment? The Fed has been hiding this fact from the public for YEARS...there is ample evidence for this EVERYWHERE. It's 4am right now where I am, so I don't really feel like posting every bit of evidence backing up my claim, but here's a nice little bit from Ron Paul that somewhat glosses over the issue: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZl6202HJGQ

Now, do some research on your own and learn the truth about this crime.

Yep. In it's current form it's crap. With few exceptions - more congressional "rollover routine" on display.

I guess it just proves that if you work hard, you are responsible with your finances and willing to make sacrifices instead of living beyond your means that you get the opportunity to pay for those who don't those who sacrifice nothing and expect the rest of us to step in and bail them out of their own irresponsibility. It really gets old working for my paycheck just to turn around and have others feeding off of it.

Make no mistake... the biggest winner here is congress itself. They give these guys our money then recollect it for themselves through political donations...

It's not about taking care of the rich, it's about taking care of themselves...

Oh, I understand. That is part of what I was trying to hint at, when you consider that almost all politicians are multimillionaires who probably have direct connections to people, or are friends of friends, etc., in these failing businesses who donate to their campaigns. It's not really about saving the economy. It's about saving certain people. Yes, I am a cynic.

You aren't a cynic SOS... you are a realist...

These guys go to congress worth a couple of hundred thousand and come home worth millions...

Fanni Mae and Freddie Mac are MAJOR contributors to top congressmen...

I'm not sure if you saw this thread yesterday, but it is sickening. This all could have been avoided...

90% of America and more congress-people than Kucinich don't want this bailout bill.
