HARLINGEN — Even though the NFL lockout is in full effect, the Dallas Cowboys are staying active. In fact, they are taking advantage of the time off from spring workouts and will be appearing in the Valley this weekend.

Members of the Cowboys organization will face off against the Harlingen All-Stars this Friday at Harlingen South High School in a basketball showdown benefiting Tech Prep and RGV Mentors.

Some of the most notable Cowboys players that will participate in this event are Stephen McGee, Dez Bryant and Tashard Choice as well as others.

For some reason the Cowboys always like to come to the Valley. I've seen them here a couple times unannounced during football season.
