He is not getting cut because he has $5mm guaranteed dollars coming.
Selling their souls for anything that might improve the chance to win.
I sincerely hope the organization doesn't do the same here.
Agreed. And with Jerry keeping both players that tells me he doesn't care about their off the field issues like he says he does.
It shouldn't be that you keep the player just because you need that player for the position. It sets a bad tone for the organization. These aren't the type of players Jason Garrett likes. Apparently Jerry does though.
.......all that needs to be said: lock the thread:bang2:
All we need now is for one of you to be this person and step out of the boat and walk across the water....
I'd rather try my luck with that than be yet another of society's enablers.
Baggage aside, the guy isn't worth the money he's being paid. He can't stay healthy. Then introduce the baggage one item at a time.
He's a guy who blew up at his boss in the locker room and had to be separated from him.
Now he's a guy who was busted for a DWI six weeks after a guy he was "mentoring" got a DWI and killed a teammate.
This guy doesn't get it. He's not nearly worth the headaches he brings. He's a bad influence on the younger guys, and his productivity, or lack there of, doesn't cancel it out. Cut him.
Over or under 0.16? I'm saying over given how messed up he looked in his picture/he hit an 18 wheeler.
Ratliff must still be a right kind of guy.
I really want Ratliff gone. He is a moron and just was arrested for the same thing that killed one of his teammates. I hate the fact that he could possibly be back on the team.
Excellent post and spot on! Cut that guy now!
Pretty lucky he wasn't injured or didn't injure anyone else.
Good.. give him his 5 million, and kick him in the butt and get him out of here.
He is poison in that locker room for the younger up and coming players.
And the team needs him badly. And the dude has been a flat out warrior for the franchise for years. And he's played 16 game seasons in 5 out of the last 6 years, indicating there is a high probability of a bounce back season. No decision is ever made in a bubble.
That bubble's been busted a while ago.
This latest embarrassment just busts it even further.
Bad attitude? For sure.
Bad off the field? Bingo!
Yeah, I've seen more than enough.
Get some salve ready for impending butthurt.
And you keep those low standards!
Lol that what Jerry said about T.O.lol
You are completely missing the point .
Put football aside i dont care if hes the best player on the team !
He should be cut , i dont care if its his first offense , we just had someone DIE from the same irresponsibility , at some point enough is ENOUGH !
Screw the salary cap , screw the talent , hell screw winning if thats what it means because life , respect , dignity , and morals mean much more than that !
Its not like we are super bowl bound this year anyway .
We cant be switching to a 4-3 down 2 defensive tackles. He made a mistake, didnt hurt anyone, hasnt been in trouble with the law before. Let the league slap him on the wrist and get on with it.
