    Round 2 picks not Cowboys' specialty

    If history holds true, the Dallas Cowboys' pick in the second round of the 2012 NFL draft likely won't become a long-term starter.

    Of the 18 players selected by Dallas in the second round from 1995-2009, only offensive linemen Flozell Adams and Andre Gurode played more than five seasons with the Cowboys.

    I think Sean Lee and Bruce Carter will change that trend.

    I think that is one of the things that just showed how bad our Scouts were in those years; and of course Jerruh doing most of the picks. Usually your first rd pick is so scrutinized by everyone that there are no surprises that anyone really spots ahead of time. It is the second rd picks that show the weaknesses in your organization.
