Please provide Input on players that you've watched.

These are just the NFLDS rankings with my comments.

I listed the position that they would play for the Cowboys.

The bolded players are the ones I consider underrated.

    2 NT/DE Star Lotulelei Sr 6-3 320 Utah
Could play either NT or DE. Disruptive but limited stamina.

    9 NT/DE *Johnathan Hankins Jr 6-3 320 Ohio State
Could play NT and maybe DE.

15 DE *Sheldon Richardson rJr 6-3 295 Missouri
Disruptive inside pass-rusher that the Cowboy need. Not the best against the run.

17 NT Jesse Williams Sr 6-3 320 Alabama
Primarily a run stopper. He is really good as a short yardage Full Back.

20 NT John Jenkins Sr 6-3 358 Georgia
    Run stopper.

33 DE *Sharrif Floyd Jr 6-3 303 Florida
    Inside pressure player.

38 DE Ezekiel Ansah Sr 6-5 270 Brigham Young
Can he be a J.J.Watt type 3-4 DE if he adds 20 lbs?

39 DE Kawann Short rSr 6-3 315 Purdue
Talented player but inconsistent effort. Maybe lazy.

66 DE Datone Jones rSr 6-4 275 UCLA
    Looks bigger than listed.

    69 DE/NT Sylvester Williams Sr 6-3 320 North Carolina
Could play DE or NT. Would need to keep weight down for DE.

89 DE *Dominique Easley Jr 6-2 280 Florida
    Short for 3-4 DE.

90 DE *Akeem Spence rJr 6-1 305 Illinois
    Short for 3-4 DE.

95 NT *Daniel McCullers Jr 6-6 377 Tennessee
Has not declared for the draft. Not a high-motor player, but maybe more uncertain than lazy. I saw him drive Warmack straight back into the QB.

114 DE Jordan Hill Sr 6-1 294 Penn State
    Short for 3-4 DE.

126 DE *William Gholston Jr 6-6 278 Michigan State
    Good build to 3-4 DE.

127 DE Everett Dawkins rSr 6-2 304 Florida State
    Short for 3-4 DE.

140 NT Brandon Williams rSr 6-2 328 Missouri Southern State
Underrated NT prospect. Excellent work ethic and good quickness.

146 DE Margus Hunt rSr 6-7 280 Southern Methodist
Freak athlete for the position, but did not dominate mid-level competition.

148 DE Abry Jones Sr 6-3 308 Georgia

163 DE Malliciah Goodman Sr 6-4 280 Clemson
I project this player to bulk up and play 3-4 DE. He is a better inside rusher than on the edge.

164 DE Josh Boyd Sr 6-3 300 Mississippi State

176 DE Chris Jones Sr 6-1 292 Bowling Green
    Short for 3-4 DE.

193 NT Cory Grissom rSr 6-2 316 South Florida

201 NT Anthony Rashad White Sr 6-2 330 Michigan State

202 DE Devin Taylor rSr 6-7 267 South Carolina

    215 NT Montori Hughes Sr 6-3 330 Tennessee-Martin
Looks like a good run plugging NT that moves ok for his size.

    271 DE Kapron Lewis-Moore rSr 6-4 306 Notre Dame
Why is he rated this low? He appears to be a decent player on a top rated defense.

2-5 I think they could get and would help the most.

Damontre Moore, Star Lotulelei, Jake Matthews, Chance Warmack, Sylvester Williams, Barrett Jones, Kenny Vaccaro, Johnathan Cooper, Eric Reid, Louis Nix, Robert Lester, Johnathan Jenkins, Tyler Bray, Landry Jones, Matt Barkley, Tony Jefferson.

That's not even everyone I like but I wouldn't mind drafting anyone of those prospects.

    1.) Star Lotulelei, DL, Utah
My favorite prospect in the draft. We have no shot at him, but I think we could use him any way we wanted to. DE, NT, DT on passing downs, but alas, it won't happen.
2.) Johnathan Hankins, NT, Ohio State
I like him, but likely not where he'll be drafted. I think he goes top 10, but I don't think I would take him till after 10, closer to 15. My reasoning is he's limited. He can play the nose, but not end. He may be able to develop into a decent DT on passing downs, but there is no gauntee.
    3.) Sheldon Richardson, DE, Missouri
Unless we sign a NT, it would be a tough decision to take Richardson, who can not play NT. I do like him, similar to Fletcher Cox, but also haven't looked into his off field issues yet.
    4.) Kwame Geathers, NT, Georgia
I like him more than his teamate Jenkins. I think he has the potential to be a disruptive player inside on passing downs. Definately has the size at 6'6 355 or so.
    5.) Jonathan Jenkins, NT, Georgia
Would be a great late round 1 option or early second. Will play the nose well, but is strictly a 2 down player and will likely never be more than that.

I think star is better, but we really dont have a shot at getting him. Sheldon Richardson is one of the guys I have targeted in the first. He is a high motor guy that has real speed for a lineman. He might not even make it out of the top ten if someone can look past his OTF issues.

There are only 4 DL that I would consider in the 1st round.

Lotulelei - Will not be available at the Cowboys pick.

Sheldon Richardson - He would be a very good pass-rushing
3-4 DE, but I think he has character issues.

Ezekiel Ansah - Would be hard to pass up.

Johnathan Hankins - I would only consider him if he can be a pass-rushing DT in the 4-man nickel line; otherwise, I just don't see him being worth bypassing some really talented OLinemen and OLBs.

    In the 2nd round:

I like Sharrif Floyd or Sylvester Williams if available in the 2nd.

    Kawann Short has work-ethic issues.

Jesse Williams and John Jenkins are primarily run stoppers. I would just wait for a guy like Brandon Williams later in the draft or the Cowboys could get a run stopping NT in FA for a reasonable price.

Now that Brent is gone, and Ratliff is constantly injury prone, we really need 2 DTs, if we are to stay in the 3-4.

Give me Brandon Williams and Montori Hughes. Williams could even move to DE in some packages with his athleticism for a guy his size.

Ansah did not look good last night. Only game I've seen him play, but I was not impressed at all.

    What are Ricahrdson's OTF issues?

I agree Ansah looked average at best(lets move past him for the first round), I did end up in love with that TE from San Diego wow Gavin Escobar .

Ansah will be a 3-4 OLB or 4-3 DE at the next level. Play him as a 5 tech DE would be a waste.

Shariff Floyd is an elite talent that should stay in school another year. If he comes out, and we are picking in the 20s I'd pull the trigger. When you watch Florida he jumps off the screen. Him Nix Tuitt richardson and star jump off the screen
