Today could have been much worse.

    Dallas 4-4
    Philadelphia 4-4
    Washington 3-5
    NY Giants 1-7

    Instead we have this...

    Dallas 4-4
    Philadelphia 3-5
    Washington 2-5
    NY Giants 2-6

THIS gives us time to fix things. ie. defense... I just dont know if anything can be done?

The Giants scare me more than either the Skins or Eagles...

Would not be shocked at all if they find themselves at 6-6 ...

Who are you going to get to fix the DL. I guess Wilcox and his 2 or 3 games of experience will be back soon. Ware, too. After that you're stuff without Bass, Crawford, Spencer, and Ratliff.

Would have felt a lot better with Dallas at 5-3. You really can't assume any of the other three East teams won't catch the Cowboys with the way our defense is playing. The only good news is the Eagles appear to be sinking faster than the Cowboys.

The defense is what it is. It can't stop Calvin Johnson. But it does generate turnovers. At this point the offense should be more of a concern and that's something that can be fixed now.

Yes. The Cowboys have been lucky in the way the games played out.

The fact that the rest of the division happens to suck, does not make me feel any better about this team, all things considered. I hear what you're saying though.

Luckily, we play in the worst division in the league at the moment.

The NFCEast is basically playing for the right to get bounced in the first round of the playoffs by the second place finisher of the North or West.

What does it matter if we win the division or not?

This team isn't going to do anything.

The fact that dallas was basically handed this division and now its 4 team race again makes me sick.

Giants still have GB, Dallas, Det, SD, Sea. They're not winning 4 of those 5 and all the other games. They just beat two lousy teams that's all

I hope it is the North. With a replay against the Lions. Wouldn't it be sweet? If its the West with the Niners....forgetaboutit.

THANK YOU! I just dont understand the idea "well we lost but so did the eagles and skins". Here's an idea: How about expecting to be BETTER than them? How about being furious that the team didnt expand on their lead in the NFC East?

Yea, but we've beaten 4 lousy teams. They just haven't played four lousy teams yet.

The O is giving us leads and the D is blowing it. The O does have its problems. Not being able to capitalize on turnovers today is Callahan's fault. I was calling for quick stuff underneath after the second offensive series. What you saw today was basically what KC and Wash threw at us. You can't wait until the 2nd half to combat that. They have to take the cuffs off Romo and trust him not to make mistakes or with this defense we are going to lose too many close games.

Ok then worry about the Giants. I'm not. I'm worried about getting to 9 wins. If we do that we're in. If not I don't care who else makes it we don't deserve it

Yes, it could have been worse, but it also could have been better...
    Dallas. 5-3
    Philadelphia. 3-5
    Washington 2-5
    NY Giants 2-6

We blew a golden opportunity....ONCE AGAIN. But I do appreciate and admire your optimistic POV.

Giants have long been dead. They also play the Redskins twice, so one of those teams is going to cancel the other out.
