Let me preface this....this is not a joke. The league is considering a new rule that makes it illegal for a running back to lead with his head when running the ball outside the tackles. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...ners-from-lowering-their-heads-into-tacklers/ But it's obvious, Goodell is trying to prepare the league for the upcoming multi-billion-dollar lawsuit from former players that threatens to take the league down entirely. He's trying to show proaction, but in doing so, he's ruining the league. In what is now an incredibly liberal nanny-state America, he has right to be concerned. The government is trying to legislate EVERYTHING, and the courts are not likely to be favorable to the NFL these days. If this passes, so might my interest in this game entirely. And it will only be the tip of the iceberg.
