Wasn't Monte the best DC in the league undisputed when he was with the Bucs?

he was certainly really good, but that Tampa defense had fallen off by that time.

He, Jim Johnson and LeBeau are the modern day gurus of Defense.

..."All those years ago"...that would be an accurate analogy here....this guy and his D' were hot stuff 10-15 yrs ago...he's SEVENTY TWO....the fact this guy is even a possbility is ridiculous and shows Al Jr's utter senility.:bang2:

    LOL, nice.

Folks, we're making WAY too much of a deal over this age thing. Let's slow down and stop acting like we know this guy inside and out. We'll see.

People want the Bears or Seahawks defense.. But not the guy that taught them everything they know.

    In the past 10 years:
    Colts x 2

have all gone on to the superbowl running Kiffins system.

Kiffin may no be my 1st choice but he is a quality DC with skins on the wall to prove it.

Yeah. I'd be seriously concerned about how much fire a 72 year old has left. I also think there's a point where the game passes everybody by.

I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't prefer another season of Rob Ryan. Especially to stay in a 3-4 scheme.
