News: NOLA: Cowboys get a jumpstart on preparations for Thursday's game against the Saints

    The Dallas Cowboys got to celebrate their 35-19 victory against the Detroit Lions by going through a walkthrough at their Valley Ranch headquarters on Monday.

    Typically NFL teams don't practice following games days, but because of the short work week due to Thursday's game against the New Orleans Saints, Cowboys Coach Jason Garrett wanted to get a jumpstart on the preparations.

    "From our standpoint this is a quick week," he said. "We have to process the game yesterday quickly and move on to the New Orleans Saints. We installed some stuff this morning in our meetings and had a walkthrough practice this afternoon on the Saints.
