Bill O'Reilly has re-upped with Fox News Channel in a multiyear deal that pays him about $10 million a year to host his top-rated news program, "The O'Reilly Factor."

The former ABC correspondent has found unprecedented success at Fox, which he joined in 1996. "The O'Reilly Factor" has been the top-rated cable news program for 94 months, with an average nightly viewership of 4 million people.

"Bill O'Reilly is the most prominent and influential name in all of cable news, and his contribution to the network's success cannot be overstated," Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes said.

O'Reilly took a shot at his detractors, saying that if he retired, "I know my friends in the elite media would miss me greatly."

Meanwhile, Fox News Channel has been locking up many of its key stars, including O'Reilly, Sean Hannity (who re-signed recently) and anchor Shepard Smith, as well as luring CNN Headline News host Glenn Beck to anchor a 5 p.m. program.

Its funny how many people put down Fox News...

For those of you with DirecTV, if you look at the active list, Fox News is always in the top 5 of all viewed channels. And its always #1 when O'Reilly is on.

I don't think anyone has ever doubted that Fox News gets ratings.

I watch FoxNews sometimes, it is good entertainment. I love seeing Hannity pontificate and O'Reilly yell.

The women on Fox aren't as good looking as the ones on CNN or MSNBC though.

I mean Greta van Susteren has nothing on Kyra Phillips.

Yeah Tamron Hall is my favorite. What happened to Alison Stewart she is another one but I don't see her on anymore.
