He will not be fired.
Does it matter anymore? Jerry Jones has de-clawed, de-fanged and cut Garrett’s arms and legs off. The Cowboys now resemble the movie “Weekend at Bernies” and Garrett is the dead host.
As many as there are.
Mid season.............I agree (unless we start like 1-8 or something).
This all comes down to the playoffs for Garrett. If he makes the playoffs then he gets to stay, if the team misses the playoffs then Garrett will be cleaning out his office.
If you dont belive me, go listen to Jerry's recet interviews. All he talks about is 8-8 and being in a ditch and having to get out of that ditch and if Garrett throws another 8-8 (or worse) onto that big jumbotron..........Jerry is going to flip out.
Even the guys on the Lunch Break said the same thing, that "no way Garrett is still here if we miss the playoffs next year".
Everyone that the Cowboys play. And the year after that as well.
Either all of them or none of them. I doubt jerry fires him during the season. He may still fire him now but who really knows.
In every season that Romo has started 10 or more games the Cowboys have either made the playoffs or been in contention for a playoff spot in the last week of the season. I have no reason to think that will change and thus expect Garrett to make it through the season and hopefully into the postseason.
20 games, excluding preseason
Everybody knows Jerry Jones coaches this team.
I don't think Jason Garrett is going anywhere, unless the team quits on him like they did on Wade and I don't see that happening under Garrett.
22 games counting preseason
9 games. He is susceptible to injury so I dont think he's out there the whole season.
Hahaha, I thought this retweet by Macmahon was funny:
@espn_macmahon Manti Te'o sent a text to Jason Garrett. "Please, sir, draft me. I've always wanted to play for an imaginary head coach."
By the way, I´m not posting this to pile on JG, I really hope for a great season next year.
He'll probably get canned sometime around midseason, it's a shame that it all has to play out like this.
I think the team will improve next year and I don't think he is going anywhere. This team will go as far as uh no romo goes. If things go south quickly it won't be because of Garrett IMO. It will be because this team thinks it will go far with Romo at QB. He isn't 25 anymore he is what he is he isn't going to improve or change. How many QB's at the age of 33 improve and change their habits?
if Garrett is still coaching this team next season, he will likely coach all 16.
16 games left in his head coaching career (in Dallas).
Garrett is a lame duck coach unless the team greatly improves. I think he has 16 games left.
