Pelosi praised the 'disruptors' back in '06

Speaker Nancy Pelosi was once a fan of angry protesters at public events — when her party was in the minority.

In this video making the rounds (yes, sent to the media by Republicans), Pelosi tells some anti-war protesters at an event in January 2006 that she's a "fan of disruptors." She talks back to the protesters, saying "I understand your anger." She eventually invites the anti-war folks to the front of the room to hold their protest signs.

The video probably wouldn't be resurfacing if Pelosi and Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) hadn't declared in a USA Today op-ed that they believed "drowning out opposing views is simply un-American." And the backlash on that op-ed shows just how a few words can completely change the narrative on a political issue.

Sadly, the two-party system breeds intellectual dishonesty. George Washington warned us about its follies.

There are some major issues. It is the answers we need to worry about.

    I'm not computer savvy enough................

But someone should download the event when Hillary Clinton lost her mind and went off on some tirade or another about "free speach" and dissent and how it's "oh so American" to do so.

These lefties have a selective memory. For eight years, we heard and saw NOTHING BUT Bush being called every name in the book, posters of him with horns and all "Hitler'd" out, death wished upon Cheney and Rumsfeld, and a celebration when Tony Snow died of cancer.

Now, suddenly, it's all about "a civil conversation" and dialogue and a decent American debate. They can't handle a taste of their own medicine. Their guy is best kown as a "community organizer". The problem exist when the community organizes against him and his policies. Now, "community organizing" is somehow a violent uprising of disorganized trouble makers!!

What a crock of ****. Go watch "The Scent of a Woman" and watch the final scenes when Al Pacino goes to the Baird School. He calls them out for being a hypocritical crock of ****. That's what America is NOW doing with regard to Umbabba.

I really posted this for RAT. He claimed Pelosi has never done that to his knowledge and so I wanted to expand his knowledge base. Silly RAT was wrong again. Shocking.

    BrainPaint keeps me in line.

Whenever I sense my ego is becoming too inflated, I just think about the greatness that was the man, the myth, one of the greatest Presidents ever -- Ronald Reagan.

most will take whatever position suits them best at the time.

the Reps are now completely against government deciding when a person's life should end and decry such panels as Death Panels but many of those same Reps wanted government intervention to keep a vegetable alive in 2005.

Newt Gingrich decried Bill's lack of morality yet served his cancer stricken wife with divorce papers while she was in the hospital and allegedly told his bit on the side he would not have intercourse with her just outercourse so that he could honestly say he never had sex with her.

    The world is thus.

I wonder what specifically she meant by "disrupters." She could have very well have meant protestors outside the gates at 1600, it is kind of hard to tell because the creator of this video very inartfully cut and pasted soundbites out of context. Nowhere did she say it was all right to shout over somebody elses. It seemed to me she was trying to placate the crowd, so they wouldn't get too out of hand, which she handled rather gracefully.

Some amateur cut and spliced her speech to make it seem like she was saying something she wasn't, and nowhere does she say it is all right to yell over someone else while they are speaking. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Let's try not to forget that Dubya's lies led to our protracted military investment in the Middle East. And that was just one of many campaigns of 'distruth' that your 'Party of Going Nowhere Constructive' has foisted upon Americans. We could have funded health care reform just from the savings of avoiding that fiasco.

'Outlawing private insurers'?... fail. Advocation of 'death panels'?... fail. 'Don't let a government bureaucrat stand between you and your health care' - when a private insurance bureaucrat ALREADY occupies that position of interference?... fail. The demonization of 'government-run health care' when Medicare is one of the most popular social safety nets ever created - to the point a Republican pol would **** their pants before being seen as an advocate of it's repeal? The same Medicare that your idol Ronny so vociferously opposed while acting as a tool of the AMA during his doomed 'Coffee Cup' rants - 'oh, the socialism that is Medicare will be a linchpin in our undoing as a country and guarantee the shift to communism'...? (Yet here we remain!) Yet another grand fail.

Where's the honesty, Repukes? In the words of your Boehners, Palins, Grassleys, et al. Nope, not there. And your astro-turf zombies? Nope, not there either.

'Cuz the honesty you've been holding back for so long - should, by now, have accrued to a reserve large enough to corner the market. Yet we continue to see none of it.
