    LOL :lmao2:

It must really suck to be so consistently wrong. You had to run your mouth about Pelosi and I had to shut it for you. But you are back making an even bigger fool of yourself. I understand your anger to a point. It must become very frustrating to be so wrong so many times and have people dismiss you as a nut job. Silly little socialist.

The more frustrated liberals get the more vicious and personal their attacks, despite all their claims about tolerance, etc.

It occurs to me, Suspect, that what has failed here is this President's plans of Change. I mean, he can still have success but it is my opinion that he will have to come closer to the middle and start drafting bills that support the majority of America, which is Center Right.

If you look at what has been done thus far, Obama has failed. Bailout has failed, Omnibus has failed, Stimulus has failed, Clunkers has failed and Nationalized Medicine is failing.

This does not have to be a disaster. The question, at least in my eyes, is one of leadership. Is leading this Nation more important to this President or is forcing his beliefs more important. If it's the former, then this can all be saved. He simply has to stop forcing Left leaning agenda. He has to lead from the center. If he can't do this, then he will fail IMO.

    So you shut my mouth?

Ahem. Please point me to this alleged mouth-shutting 'Pelosi' post of yours. 'Cuz, based on your body of work, this oughta be a real hoot.

Hello. If, as you claim, the majority of America is 'center right' - please explain a Dem-controlled Senate and House. Not to mention a sitting President described by the alleged party of the right as 'the most leftwing Senator in Congress'. Tell me how any of THAT supports your contention?

We're eight months into the Obama administration - yet you already deem the many actions he has taken to be 'failures'. Does your political slant color your whirlwind judgments... much? Name a President who's addressed more concurrent problems in his first half-year or so - in your lifetime. Much of your 'failure' grades you've issued before allowing the time to fully, or even reasonably, guage their impact. The Stimulus is a prime example of such an instance. The 'cash for clunkers' program is a failure? Tell that to somebody working in our beleaguered US auto industry - they will look at you like you're insane. That program has kickstarted sales when that industry absolutely needed the boost.

I don't agree with everything the president has done myself - and there are several things I find pretty upsetting. The Wall Street bailout and the lack of ensuing reform particularly comes to mind. But he's got plenty of time remaining on the game clock and, so too, opportunites to address those issues. I notice the last president didn't have any problem throwing money at Wall Street - and with no semblance of accountability whatsoever.

Your boy Bush never hesitated to put neocon ideology over our best interests when he felt he was 'gut right' - and dragged us to places we wouldn't be in now if he'd actually bothered to think it through. So your portrayal of Obama as 'an ideologue' - falls flat on it's face. Sure, he was a confident leader - who made leading in the wrong a direction an absolute artform.

And after those eight years - I think I'm fairly comfortable with our new leader. I think we'll be just fine.

Answer truthfully if you can, from 2001-2006 with a Republican President and congress was the country more economically stable than it is now with your choice ?

Your people are in charge now, in congress since 2006 and full control now. 2 1/2 years and you folks have crippled us !

It wouldn't be accurate to assess the overall political tilt of a country based on one or two recent elections.

One can make a strong argument that America is a "center right" country, in my opinion. There's only been one two-term Democratic President in the past 40 years, and Americans tend to describes themselves as conservative in polls. We also many beliefs that are considered conservative in the world.

The Country has voted in phases since WW2

    Repubs 8 years Ike
    Demos 8 years Kennedy/Johnson
    Repubs 8 years Nixon/Ford
    Demos 4 years Carter
    Repubs 12 years Reagan/Bush Sr
    Demos 8 years Clinton
    Repubs 8 Years Bush
    Demos 4 years Obama
    Repubs ? years ??????

That is how it is gonna go. We are a finicky microwave eating Nation ...... in 4 or 8 years Repubs will be back in charge ..... and 4 or 8 years after that Dems will be back ....

That's a big assumption nothing will change. If Obama succeeds in passing healthcare reform and the economy does better the Republicans could very well go the way of the Whigs and Federalists.

I can't fault that strong statement either, Scip. 'Cuz it makes no assumptions. It merely presents a viewpoint for my consideration. Who can really say where America stands relative to center? It depends on the political environment, the day, and the issue at hand - it's a point regularly, if not constantly, in flux.

I don't agree with this. I think that America consistantly shows that it is a Center Right Nation. Polls indicate this, policy indicates this and even voter tendancies indicate this IMO. Heck, we voted in a Far Left President because we thought he was a Middle of the road uniter. Now that America is seeing President Obama's politics, they are returning to where they have always been IMO. Center Right.

It is funny how certain posters say others are blinded so their opinions are meaningless yet at the same time those same posters are blinded themselves.
