In the opinion of NFLPA* lawyer Jeffrey Kessler, it can take as long as two weeks to reconstitute the union. In the opinion of NFL lawyer Bob Batterman, it can take as few as two hours.

The truth is somewhere in the middle, much closer to two hours than 312.

I don't trust Kessler as far as I can throw him. The NFLPA* looks really disorganized and ham-handed. I really think Smith dropped the ball on this. Badly.

Be prepared to duck. Smith and Kessler have reached demi-god status here.

If there was only some kind of electrical device that would make sending and receiving documents in a blink of an eye this process could be so much faster. We can send a man to the moon but we can’t get about 380 players to vote on recertification. Maybe one day in the future we will have this technological break through

I think Al Gore already invented it. But I'm not sure.

Oh man if only the players had access to this invention. Too bad you can't tweet it, they seem to be able to figure that out. :laugh2:

Did I just get in a DeLorean and travel back to 1955?

    More hyperbole..

Defending player positions or any position in this legal debate doesn't mean you defend the guys leading the charge on a personal basis.

I've seen very few arguments "shilling" for Kessler or Smith.

It doesn't even need to be that. A fax machine will send it out almost as quick.

Really? All that praise for Smith? What does that mean?

Especially as it really looks like he has not earned that praise.

BTW, Florio mentioned a solution that I think could work for both parties. Per his article

What praise? Other than a few noting that he's not the total boob people think he is, I don't see alot of praise for Smith.

And none for Kressler, at all.

Like I said, hyperbole run amok.
