Smith and Mettenberger don't have anywhere near as high of a ceiling as Garoppolo.
Mettenberger actually has a pretty high ceiling.. He's 6'5" 230+ lbs with a live arm. Can easily make all the throws. He's just not athletic and needs to improve his footwork and read progressions.
Brett Smith is by far the best athlete of the 3, but he's got issues with his mechanics and doesn't have a big arm either. He does, however, have a really quick release, similar to Garoppolo.
I like Mettenberger as a prospect.
