The "Teardrop" memorial is real and is a 100-foot September 11th sculpture that was donated by the Russian people and is located in New Jersey.

The memorial was dedicated on September 11, 2006 in a ceremony attended by former President Bill Clinton. Also in attendance were Michael Chertoff, the Bush Adminstration Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, and family members of World Trade Center victims. Recording artist Leann Rimes sang the National Anthem and Amazing Grace at the dedication ceremony.

On September 15, 2005, Russian president Vladimir Putin visited for the groundbreaking ceremony.

There is something about this sculpture that is familiar to me... I just can't put my finger on it...

I present to you... The Teardrop...

Maybe I'm reading too many of Brainpaint's posts and his pervertitis is rubbing off on me but it looks like a woman's unmentionable area, if ya get my drift.

Well, at least it's in Jersey.

    Somehow fitting, I'd say.

This thing reminds me so much of the George Carlin joke regarding the naming of a rooster on top of a barn.

I guess it shows how much of a political nut I am.

'Cuz I thought it was pretty reminiscent of the Berlin Wall collapse. :bang2:

That's funny. I had seen pictures of the monument before, but just did not have your dirty mind.

I don't think it is as close to the Statue of Liberty as made out to be in that one photo.
