I like your list except I don't know why Victor Cruz is on and not Reggie Wayne? It's not just you, there are many lists without him.

Reggie Wayne is good if I did a top 15 list Wayne, would definitely be on it as for Cruz he is in my eyes a top 10 wr even though he had sort of a sophmore slump sort to speak he had to carry the slack in that Giant offense for most of the season due to the injuries to Nicks, and I think he did a servicable job for the most part.

    Based primarily on 2012

    1. Calvin Johnson
    2. Andre Johnson
    3. AJ Green
    4. Brandon Marshall
    5. DeMaryious Thomas
    6. Dez Bryant
    7. Julio Jones
    8. Roddy White
    9. Vincent Jackson
    10. Michael Crabtree

Most interesting is how everyone was proclaiming Crabtree a huge bust but once he had a proper offense he blew up. Guy is a stud and will be for the next decade, I could see him moving into the top 5 next year. I think D.Thomas overplayed his talent due to the addition of Peyton Manning. Calvin Johnson and Andre Johnson both had their tickets to Canton certified during this season. Marshall is a few more good years away from HoF consideration. I think next year AJ Green may take the #1 spot, might take two years though.

Now that is a good list.

Pretty much agree with that...except you need Fitz somewhere.

Lists with Reggie Wayne and Miles Austin...no way.

    Redskins fan here:

Dez bryant is not a top 5 WR "Yet"

In the 2nd half of last season he started to demonstrate clearly that he could be.

If Dez gets his head on straight he scares the hell out of me. He has the physical abilities to match up with anyone. It is the mental game that is holding him back and he has made solid strides there and there is no reason to think that he wont continue to mature.

I guarantee you didn't have Torrey Smith in your top 10 until last weekend...

Does anybody else recall the end of 2009 and the offseason before 2010 where most of us enthusiastically proclaimed Miles Austin as a top 5 NFL receiver after his breakout season?

1300+ yards, 11+ TDs, all in only 9 starts!

"Just imagine how those stats will look when he starts 16 games".

Heck, I was guilty as the next guy.

My point is this -- let's not count our chickens before they hatch. I think Dez has the potential to be a top 3-4 WR in the NFL, however, I'm not willing to rank him in the top 3 until I've seen it for a whole season.

    My list:

    1. Calvin Johnson
    2. Andre Johnson
    3. Brandon Marshall
    4. AJ Green
    5. DeMaryious Thomas
    6. Dez Bryant
    7. Julio Jones
    8. Roddy White
    9. Vincent Jackson
    10. Michael Crabtree

Then you might actually be looking at NFL stats for the year.

    Fitz had a terrible season.

Yes, if I'm forced to pick a guy to cover out of Austin and Wayne, I think I would have a beter chance covering Wayne. (Not that I could cover either but if I HAD to pick one, I'd rather cover Wayne). Same goes for Thomas and Jackson. Austin is a burner AND 6'3" AND is a quick twitch athlete AND runs good routes AND has good hands AND is darn near impossible to bring down in the open field with his tree trunk legs. Sorry #10 is Austin.

His isssue is injury... That's it

I think that Dez, AJ, and Marshall could all be arguably shuffled around in those 2-4 spots. The reason I put Dez at 2 is for a couple reasons: Firstly, Dez has better stats all around then Green with the 26 less targets, and similar stats to Marshall with 56 less targets. Of the top 10 receivers in terms of yards, he has the lowest amount of targets, and and having the 2nd most TD's with that few targets is outstanding . Secondly, Dez is so dynamic, he does it all. Think about all the different ways he's got TD's this year; deep bombs, short slants, crossing routes then turn on the burners, corner fades, hitch routes, every way you can get a TD, he can do it. AJ and Marshall don't have the deep threat that Dez has. Marshall had 18 catches of 20+ yards, Green had 16, Dez had 19, and again they had more targets. Dez is a possession receiver and deep threat all rolled into one package.

I want to see Dez surpass Lord Megatron as the best wide-out in the game.
