Vonta Leach - RB - Ravens Ravens signed FB Vonta Leach to a three-year, $11 million contract.
You can close the book on Le'Ron McClain's tenure in Baltimore. Not in search of more carries like McClain, Leach was reportedly interested in becoming the league's highest paid fullback. He should be pretty close to it when the dust settles. Leach could also be the key to a Ray Rice turnaround, who saw his yards per carry drop from 5.3 in 2009 to 4.0 last season. The Ravens were going to be hard-pressed to improve on McClain as a lead-blocker this summer, but that's just what they've done.

Note, I am not sure if McClain is a free agent or will stay with the ravens or not, but I dont see ravens keeping 2 big fullbacks, and if you remember, McClain ran all over us a few years back. Think Cowboys show interest?

I don't know what Jerry and Garrett's plans are,but we're losing the guys we wanted at lightening speed.

I'd be surprised if we brought in McClain after drafting Chapas.

I'd think the Cowboys would want to try and develop him.

    But what the heck do I know . . . . .

Haha owning this year free agency. But I'd be happy with McLain. Remember our last game out Texas stadium ?

I still think Gronk is the Fullback, but will be limited due to John Phillips being back in the H-Back role.

I like McClain a lot, but I doubt he'd want to come here since he likes to carry the ball more than the average fullback.

The Texans wanted to keep All Pro fullback Vonta Leach. The Broncos, Cowboys, Giants, and Ravens wanted to take him away.

In the end, the Ravens won.

John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports that Leach has agreed to terms on a three-year, $11 million contract with Baltimore. The deal includes, per Mark Berman of FOX 26 in Houston, $6 million guaranteed.

Does the Cowboys name appear in every single report of a player?

Jerry does have a lot of bait in the water. ;) His plan is free marketing by coming in 2nd or third for every FA.

Well Jerry did say that we had a lot of Bait in the Water!

He would have been a big signing and a big help in our running game. I think he had a bit of impact on Foster's rise. Leach is a beast. You can never have enough talented and tough SOB's on your team.

Yep Phillips ...and he isnt a FB....

IMHO were not going to be running plays like we did in the 90's with the Moose

I expect to see 3 WR sets.....2TE sets...more often then the traditional sets...

    JMHO :)
