How this information got out, we don't know. The official statement is that we WILL NOT have any further investigation on this matter. Anything more you need to know, will have to be obtained from Mr. Owens or the medical staff. We are not confirming or denying anything. I will not speculate on what happened. If you want the 911 tape you will have to make the request to the Fire Department. They are the keeper of the tapes. We are not persuing this as a criminal offense. I will not comment on the validity of the document (police report) you have. That's all. EDIT: The feed was cutting in and out on me. It has been brought to my attention that the police said they are NOT pursuing it as a criminal offense, not that attempted suicide is not a criminal offense. My apologies... Provided by SUPERPUNK Here's the full transcript. Trick, I apologize, I can't tell what he's responding to at the end there. There are a few questions being asked, I can only pick up the dominant one. But here it is. Yesterday evening, a little bit before 8 o’clock, officers responded to the 3800 block of Commerce Street. And this response was requested by the fire department paramedics. When the officers got there, they were met by the paramedics, who were treating Mr. Owens. The paramedics told the officers that they were going to have to proceed to the hospital, the officers followed the ambulance, they went in, and in the course of this, in our investigation, we’ve determined that, at this time, this is not a criminal offense. This is a medical type of situation, and the incident that occurred….. It’s my understanding that there was some information that was released prior to me speaking. And what I want to say is, that information that went out….We are the official spokespersons for the Dallas police department. How that information got out, I don’t know. But this is the official statement. The police dept. does not have any other investigation going on on this incident. If you need any more information, you’ll have to contact Mr. Owen, or the medical staff. Do I need to repeat any of that? The Dallas Cowboys have had no comment, or they have not said anything to me. Are you denying thirty-something pills and attempted suicide? I’m not confirming anything. Ok? If there were a suicide attempt (real life), would that be cause for he police to investigate further? With respect to that, I’d be speculating. Why were you called by the paramedics? That’s all I’m gonna go on this, ok? 911 tape? If you want that, you have to make the request, to the fire department. They are the keepers of the 911 tape. So that’s where you would go to get that released. Is this document speaking about attempted suicide? It is not a criminal offense.
