Interesting little comment from Brian Broaddus on Merriman.. Listening to the very interesting pregame show on 103.3 yesterday, scout Brian Broaddus made a very interesting comment. He, of course, is the guy who was an NFL scout for many years and was in our personnel department under Parcells until last year. He was talking about T.O. and Parcells' reign here, and he made a comment I've never heard before. He said that Jerry is the GM in name, but he totally defers to the coach. He said, "The only time I ever heard Jerry say "no" to Bill about a player he wanted was Shawn Merriman." Has anyone heard that before? I hadn't. What does it mean? I don't know. But it's pretty interesting IMO.
