Well, it's kinda funny. My buddy Mark, who brought the shrimp back w/ him from his 30-on, 30-off gig offshore, intended to peel and freeze these to have for his time off.
I bet him I could peel and de-vein all 5 lbs in under 30 mins, and if I did, they were mine.
Poor Mark. I kinda felt bad for him, as 22 mins later, he watched me slowwwwy finish shrimp #85.
Did you at least feed the guy?
My vote for today's Weirdest Thread Title.
BTW, would you please put this on the recipe thread in the OT Zone. That is one of the threads that many be bumped along with the latest book and movie ones.
Man...that looks good, too.
K. Let write it up in a form that's understandable, since it's kinda just a made up deal, and I'll try and post it asap.
Those do look good. My enbrochette are very similar. I use 16-20's as well, butterfly them and place a sliver of jalapeno in there with a small amount of Monterrey jack cheese. Wrap those babies tightly in bacon and either grill or fry them. I prefer a flash fry first then throw them on the grill for the flavor.
Serve them over a black bean sauce drizzled with a mornay sauce!
I feel like I'd destroy the shrimp if I tried to grill them over fire.
Looks larrupin good!!!!!! Will try this on the BGE, maybe with some wrapped dry scallops. Keep up the great recipes.
Scallops area gift from the Gods.
So, why don't you own a restaurant, DallasCowPoke? I bet even a small mom and pop restaurant would be a success with the food that you make!
I would love about 8 of those shrimps.
It snowed!! It flooded here
Mmmmm, tasty. Nice shootin', Tex!
Read something recently about deep water mollusks being bad for you but I can't remember why. Anyone see this?
Never heard that, but here is a fun fact..................the world's oldest living creature was recorded at 507 years and the scientists killed it by accident. This creature happened to be a.....................
Yeah I saw that. Didn't know how old it was and when they did......oops!
