Junior DE Jadeveon Clowney has "worn out his welcome" at South Carolina, according to Dan Pompei.
"It has been well documented that Clowney plays and practices only when he feels like it," Pompei writes. "Other red flags with Clowney, according to multiple front-office men, are his unusual family situation, his entourage, his inconsistent work ethic and the fact that he has worn out his welcome at South Carolina. Some suspect he is motivated strictly by money, and a big payday could leave him too satisfied." These are strong words, and we will likely hear a lot more about the monstrous defensive end throughout the draft process. This, however, is the first instance of Clowney's family and entourage being questioned. Dec 6 - 1:20 PM

    1. "Inconsistent work ethic"..not 3 words you want to hear about a first round pick.

red flags all over the place. The one thing you cannot have on your team is a part time player; a guy with a questionable motor.

Yes, the Cowboys don't have to worry about making that choice.

the media are trying yet again to stir up the crap and help dent this young mans future, just like they did to vontaze burfict. Either give your sources or shut up.
Talk about how he is often triple teamed and how no defender in the past ten years has been gameplanned against like him, talk about how the DT inside of him has become a bona fide top 40 pick because he is able to work one on ones because of this guys presence instead of his family background.

please.we keep hearing nonsense like this against extremely talented people and we find reasons not to draft them.I still cant find a reason why we didnt have Warford on our draft board.

Who says Warford wasn't on the draft board? Or at least the real draft board that was used. I don't buy into the reports that the media was able to reconstruct the Cowboys full draft board that was actually used during the draft process.

its possible but are you saying there is fake draft board in the war room just for the cameras?

No, not a fake. Just one that is modified as the draft progresses. Take a name off of a guy who has been drafted. Or take a guy off if you don't think you will be in position to grab him with your next pick. Those draft boards can be very fluid. The board can look very different from the time the draft starts and the time the interviews were given.

I'm glad Dallas won't have the opportunity to draft him. In one sense, I would, even with the first pick, unless I needed a QB. But I really don't see this guy reaching his maximum potential.

Glad we won't be in position to worry about his work ethic. As long as he goes in the top 31 picks JJ won't have to draft him. :D

Warford was a flat out steal for the lions. He should be our starting right guard right now.

No, not evil media. I just don't think they had full access. They caught a few glimpses of the board, but that isn't the full story.

so the media is reporting something while having far more access than you but that is inaccurate because you dont like what they reported

you are completely making stuff up but that is true?

    thanx for clarifying it

Having more access than me doesn't mean they have full access. I never mentioned anything about liking or not liking what was reported. I just understand that what is being reported isn't the whole story. There is always more that even the media doesn't know.
