Smith and Watt are both perennial all pros. Watt's already there, hopefully Smith doesn't take too long to convert.
didn't I just read this thread ?
what have you seen from smith that says perennial all-pro?
He was top 3 at his position his rookie year, and he's learning a whole new one now, and he looks better every game.
do you get up in the morning looking for reasons to be pissed?
yeah i'm sort of in a bad mood today. heater is not working on one of the coldest nights of the year.
top 3 right tackle. he will be judged by how he plays on the left side. nobody can confidently say he will be a perennial pro bowler based on his play on the left side this year.
Did you watch last year?
20 years old, lockout, one of the best RTs in he league.
He has all the tools and wants to be great.
I remember when we were dumb for picking Ware over Merriman
And look how that turned out. Give it time, people.
ok let me be more specific. what have you seen from him to make you think he can be a perennial pro bowler on the left side? are you basing it solely on his youth?
Let me introduce you to CowboysZone.com
What do we want????
When do we want it????
I also remember how there are about 20 threads on why the Cowboys haven't addressed the offensive line. So when we do take a O- lineman in the 1st round, everybody is complaining why we didn't pick JJ Watt.
Some people are just hard to satisfy.
For all we know Watt could be a steroid-induced freak.
tyron smith vs jj watt is not why this team is in trouble. although imagine this defense front 7 watt ratliff hatcher spencer carter lee ware
Watt is a beast...I haven't seen anyone like him in a while from an interior DLineman. The guy is disruptive for an entire 60 minutes, he makes his presence known at least once or twice on every possession
That is the exception not the rule. Need I list our first round picks the last ten years (or times we traded away first round picks)? I could but that would be cruel.
As an isolated incident it is silly to make these ifs and but statements about what if we selected this or that player. However, given our track record with draft picks it is not so silly as it fits neatly into a well established narritive of utter incompetence with this front office.
Just imagine Ware + Watt
