"I'm going to challenge my teammates," Rivera said. "It's do or die."

Somebody needs to tell this loser to challenge himself. It's hilarious he would challenge his teamates and act like he's been doing a great job all along.

I like the fact that he is trying to be a leader and light a fire under his teammates. But he has been the as bad as them, with the exception of tucker who is by far the worst. I hope he realizes he has been playing like $hit as well.

Maybe he HAS been doing a good job. It's tough to evaluate the performance of the Oline, particularly when the ENTIRE unit has played so poorly.

Rivera has more penalties than any other offensive lineman. More than Petitti and more than Tucker.

Good for him, that is the type of leadership we got him for. I'm now willing to say that only 8.9 million of his signing bonus was a waste. Keep chipping away at it Marco!

That is some delicious tackle-sack-allowing-goodness!!!!!! I think I just threw up some in my mouth.

There is NO excuse for Rivera having that many fals start penalties, though. Mybe he needs some Gingko Biloba to help his concentration or something.

As poorly as everyone says Andre Gurode was at RG last year, Rivera has been just as bad.

From a purely statistical standpoint, Gurode only had two penalties and allowed 1 1/2 sacks. Compare that to Rivera's numbers.

You cannot blame that stupidity on his neck injury.

If Rivera is the one that has to challenge his teammates...We are in BIG trouble...As if we didn't already know that!

Gurode only had 8 total penalties his sophomore year (most he ever got).. Rivera has already topped that.

He may go down as the worst FA signing we have ever had.

Factor cost and he's much worse than Wiley.

That is what is so upsetting about his play. He is making the mental mistakes he never made with Green Bay.

Another depressing note, do you realize this is the most sacks he has ever allowed in his career and he needs only two more penalties to set a career high there. He already has accrued more false starts than he ever has.

Gosh darn it, he is good. :)

    But he is a leader.

    That counts for something.

    I guess.

    Right?

    Right?

I've got it! He's just setting us up for a thrilling late season come back! And he's invented a time machine! No. Seriously. this is depressing. I was scared of him when he was signed, didn't understand giving an old guy such a long, lucrative deal, and now it's all coming true. This could really kick our butts in the coming years. I need to cry into a shot glass now.

We've given up what, 15 sacks in the last 3 games?

So now it's Rivera with a stinger, Torrin Tucker, Rob Petitti, and a lackadaisical Larry Allen.

It could be a long day.
