    Cowboys hope to jump start running game against Rams
    Dallas hopes to take advantage of St. Louis' defense.

    With the winless St. Louis Rams coming to Arlington this weekend, the Dallas Cowboys could finally get their anemic running game on track.

    Hampered by a young, undersized line, the Cowboys (2-3) rank 27th in the NFL in rush offense, averaging just 84.8 yards per game. The Rams (0-5) are last in the league in rush defense, yielding 163 yards an outing.

    “When you run the ball better, it helps your whole team,” Dallas coach Jason Garrett said. “It helps your third downs, it helps you in the red zone, it probably helps your defense, it helps in every way.”

    With Felix Jones sidelined with a high ankle sprain he suffered in the second quarter of Sunday's 20-16 loss to New England, it will be up to rookie DeMarco Murray and Tashard Choice to take advantage of St. Louis' porous rush defense.

    A third-round pick from Oklahoma, Murray led the Cowboys with 32 yards on 10 carries against the Patriots. Those season-high numbers could result in him getting his first start...
