    For openers, Romo begins to change how he's viewed

    EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — It isn't December. The Cowboys aren't heading to the postseason now, only to Seattle. And Eli Manning still has more Super Bowl rings than Tony Romo has playoff victories.

    But Wednesday meant something to Romo, and that's telling of his past Sundays and Mondays. After last season's failure, compounded by so many in the past, he won on the road, against the defending champs, with a ragged offensive line.

    And this was a change.

    Romo isn't the only one who feels better today. On the same day business was good for Jerry Jones, for example, so was his football.

    On the same day Forbes said the Cowboys were the first American sports franchise to become worth more than $2 billion, Jones showed he can spend some money, too. What he did in the offseason in buying cornerback help made a difference...

    Then there was this: Statistically, Romo's game against the Giants last season in Cowboys Stadium was the best by a losing quarterback in NFL history.
