Lee took over the defense and was the leader on and off the field. Lee makes people proud to be Cowboy Fans.

Sean Lee had a phenomenal game, but I really think Hatch had an equally great game, if not better-- just didn't have the pretty numbers to show for it.

Although he didn't get the sacks, he pressured the QB on 18% of his passing snaps from the DT position. By comparison, Justin Houston did very close to the exact same earlier this year and people were flipping out everywhere. But that kind of pressure from the DT position is more impressive than OLB, IMO. Hatcher just didn't get the sack total, so it was overlooked.

    Still. Big congrats to Lee.

Lee is quietly 2nd in the league in total tackles.

Great play so far, and the only reason he doesn't get more attention is cause of lack of true flash.

Hopefully he will continue to get the recognition he deserves.

Apologies for the low quality, my resources (and time) are limited here at work, but this...

Kiffin on Lee named Def. POW: "Was he really? Geez, I'm the last one to hear. I could have named him that in the middle of the 3rd qtr."

Hatcher, Selvie, Carr and Lee all deserve recognition for their games not just against the Eagles but in the last 2 wins. But if one guy had to get it, can't fault them for picking Lee, he was all over the field.

And these guys above get the accolades but every single guy out there was all out effort. I would have no problem giving the award to the entire D, they were lights out. I hope to see the same against the Lions.

His play reminds me of another great Cowboy MLB..

    Leroy Jordan.

    Quick..hard hitter, great blitzer.

Controlled the middle of the defense for years.

Lee could be that guy again.

    We'll see.

Who would you rather have on the team? Houston is the real deal. He is also much younger. That is an odd comparison. They do not play the same position.

Well yeah. Houston is a young and great player and obviously more valuable than Hatcher at his age.

But you see why I made the comparison, right? I'm comparing the two games that they played against similar opponents and getting that kind of pressure from the interior is more difficult than rushing off the edge (against a rookie LT, btw).

And honestly, I'd pump the breaks a bit on Houston. I think he's good, but he plays for a great team with great pieces to help him out in that front 7, and 7 of his 10 sacks came early in the season against rookies: Joeckel on the Jags, Lane Johnson of Philly and racked up more pressures against another rookie RT, Justin Pugh. When he went up against Free, he didn't do nearly as well.
